Role: Design & Development;
COMSOL Days is a new type of training event started in 2015 - a sort of mini-conference bringing elements of the annual COMSOL Conference to areas the big conference doesn't reach. Since the events are bigger than our other trianing events, but smaller than the full converence, they needed a somewhat unique treatment on the web.
What we ended up with was a special landing page (first screenshot at right) highlighting each of the locations and additional elements on the single event pages with space in the schedule for invited keynote speakers - a unique feature of these events.
I was responsible for design, development, and upkeep of these pages (the main landing page is updated manually). They have been some of our most successful events to date as far as attendance goes.
I've been doing this whole web design thing for 15 years now in one way or another, but it is far from my only creative pursuit. Though I've never done Art professionally, I do consider myself an artist as well as a designer with interests all over the spectrum—drawing, painting, creative writing, photography, fiber arts, and woodworking, to name the big ones. I'm always up for trying some new art form and pick up new skills pretty quick.
I'm currently looking for full-time opportunities in Southern Massachusetts or Rhode Island. If you think I might be a god fit got your team, get in touch at email@example.com.
